Deborah DuBois lives outside Seattle, Washington and is an avid hiker, kayaker and paraglider, mostly because she's a wild child. She always says, "There's nothing greater than jumping off the edge of a cliff and soaring like an eagle! The flying won't kill you it's the sudden stop ya gotta watch out for."
Easily one of the most moving books I have read in years.. I have bought two hard copies and will give both of my daughters a copy. I thought it was bigger but its pretty. For a book made up of blocks of prose poetry on queer relationships, gender, and modern art, this book is amazingly accessible. Too bad I couldn't get a nice hardcover but the softcover is good enough. The verses were given in order so that they'd be easy to look up, however this sometimes meant that the study jumped around in focus since similar verses weren't grouped together.
The questions he provided will get a discussion going. Murdoch says: "Julian's attempts at creating a pagan doctrine betray his Christian upbringing. The satisfaction we get from luxury spending lasts only shortly. One of very few books I have felt inclined to buy both digital and hard copies of.
Not only an interesting read, but also a beautifully written essay.
