On Our Own offers a comprehensive narrative history of American society, culture, politics, and institutions during this remarkable decade. The volume includes the Kennedy administration, the civil-rights revolution, the Great Society, the Vietnam War, and the Movement, and then concludes with three chapters that discuss the decade's aftermath and its legacies.
This is an excellent book with a very realistic approach to a very serious issue, and I look forward to being far more proactive on this in the coming school year. I'd like to see how they are able to make this story different then others such as Xmen.
The cards that came with the set are pretty cool. House for several decades and in that time, the tall, one-eyed, unrepentantly liberal Mormon cut one of the most distinctive and respected figures in the U.S. If you are a parent and you have a teenager, please read this book.
When totally wired teenagers today get out of bed in the morning, the first thing they do--before breakfast and before showering--is to fire-up their "at rest" computer to check for messages on their favorite community sites. This Flora, though technical, is exceptionally useful. The book is beautify laid out and easy to read. Great for coffee table and starts good funny conversation.. This one looks good because I read his book "Invisible Trad
