Richard E. Simmons III is the founder and executive director for The Center for Executive Leadership, a not-for-profit, faith-based ministry located in Birmingham, AL. Simmons opened The Center in 2000 to assist men in the development of their faith through formal bible studies, teaching and counseling while also overseeing a talented group of professional and personal counselors.

A little about me: I'm in my mid-fifties and am a relatively big-framed guy who stands 6'1" and weighed 310 pounds when I started this plan. Maybe that IS the most realistic perspective now; maybe I'm the one being overly optimistic to imagine that we could still exert some decelerating or critical influence over it. This book was a godsend! I have added supplements to my diet, taken out the peanuts (thought they were good for me) whole wheat bread (who knew?) and cut out some (not all) gluten. It seems if your blood test shows normal then the prescribed pill should work. I started the program on Monday of this week and so far I am down 6 pounds after 3 full days. Complete with practice exercises and concise explanations, the author translates his knowledge and passion for Hebrew into a readable grammar that could easily become new standard for texts used in Hebrew language courses..
